In a lot of ways, I feel like most of my life I’ve had nothing but setbacks. Goals for the future that were put off by someone else, or just never achieved. And you know what? It flat out sucks. Bad. Because the more setbacks in your life, the more you start to feel as if nothing is going to happen.
So how do you get past that feeling? How do you keep moving forward when everything is going wrong? Perseverance. Hope. Strength.
It’s crazy, if you think about it, how our obsessions are constantly changing as we discover new things to obsess over, new shows to binge, new items to try. Right now, these are a few things I’ve been obsessing over this month:
I know I’m a couple months late to this post, but I really wanted to thank Victoria over at The Girl With The Paw Print Tattoo for nominating me for this award! I’ve been slacking on this blog for awhile, but I definitely wanted to give a shout out to her, and if you haven’t checked out her blog yet, please do so! She’s raw and real, and posts about her life and mental well being in dealing with a not so common condition. She’s inspiring and worth checking out!
I deal with a wide variety of customers at the job I work with. If you don’t know by now, I work at a place that sells food and beer, and it’s also connected to a bar (with the same kitchen). I live in a college town as well, so we get a variety of people as well. I’ve met my fair share of customers. Some I love, some I can’t stand. Here is a rundown of some of them. This is an idea that’s been brewing in my head for the past few weeks, considering I spend so much time at work.
There are many reasons why I’ve grown to love blogging. For one, the blogging community is very supportive. I just posted about how I was sick and so many of you commented and told me to get better and to focus on myself for a bit. Thanks so much for the love! I’m feeling a little better, and more motivated to write.
Guys, I said there was one more award, and here it is. I’m so lucky and thankful to have been nominated for so many lately, and this time I was nominated by the lovely Hunida for The Awesome Blogger Award. Please be sure to check out her blog (here) if you haven’t already, she and I started blogging around the same time, and I almost feel like she’s my blogger sister as she’s stood by me since.
I’ve actually already accepted this award once, but since I was nominated, twice, again, I decided to make this post to answer the questions I was given. Because I already accepted it once, I will not be nominating anyone this time around.
