Changing Pace

Alright guys, I missed a post. Again. I don’t have a valid reason for it other than I just didn’t feeling like making the post I had assigned myself. When I wrote the “Reasons I Love Blogging!” post the other day, it reminded me that I shouldn’t feel pressured into writing a post. This is, after all, a challenge for myself, and since it’s my challenge, I’ve decided to mix things up a little.

I’m still going to be posting frequently, but I think it’s starting to become extra pressure to post daily. There are other things I want to focus on as well as blogging, and daily posts invest a lot of time after awhile. I feel like I rush putting some of them together, too.

So, for the rest of the month, I think I’m going to mix it up and either post every other day, or when I feel inspiration to write. I’ll base my topics off of my writing challenge still, at least for this month. I wanted to wait until next month to mix it up, but when I got sick, it just kind of put things into perspective for me that sometimes, I just really need a day where I do nothing. Including blogging. I’ve fallen behind on your blogs, very far behind, and I do still intend to catch up, hopefully by the end of this week.

On the plus side, I am feeling a lot better, but it’s a slow progress. Maybe it’s the fact that I can’t drink alcohol until I’m off the antibiotics, but I’ve been trying to get more motivated about things. Or at least, somewhat motivated.

I gotta be honest with you guys. I nerded out. Like, huge time nerded out.

When I wrote my Childhood Obsessions post a while back, I mentioned a game I used to play on the computer all the time called Diablo 2. Well, when I wrote that post, I missed playing the game so much, I started playing Diablo 3 on my Xbox 360 a lot more. But, the game is not the same, and it only scratched the itch that I wanted to play D2.

I looked it up to see if it were still possible to play D2. And I found out they made a patch a couple years ago, after I quit playing, and that newer software like Windows 10 is now compatible with D2.

I got excited.

And I found our Diablo discs for the computer. We have two sets (I mentioned, this was like a family thing, we played on both computers once upon a time). I downloaded it, just to see if I could even get this laptop to handle it (I mean it did once before, so I wasn’t too worried).

Guys, it worked!

And I’ve been nerding out because there are so many people coming back to this game. I did this two nights ago, and I’m afraid it’s made me slightly MIA on here, but I’m just so happy that it’s still the same. It just amazes me that a lot of people were saying they just started playing D2 again after so many years. Because D3 kind of sucks.

But yeah, my excitement over that is probably limited to just me, but I am a little excited about it, and may be spending a little too much time in that fantasy world, but it is nostalgic. To the point I may actually have a few posts dedicated to my thoughts on the game. I realized I’m slightly passionate about a few things.

I’m going to get this blog back on track – or at least a new track. I’m excited, and I hope you guys stick around. It’s going to be a lot of the same, with hopefully a few new ideas to add.

Quality over quantity I’m thinking.
