Everything will be okay in the end.
Pain is temporary.
Everyone gets through life at a different pace. You’re not behind, you’re on the right path to where you need to be.
Sometimes you only meet people to learn a lesson.
People come and go. Life gets busy. It doesn’t mean they forgot who you are.
Life is difficult as an adult. They warn you, but they don’t fully prepare you. Everything is trial and error.
It’s okay to fuck up. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone falls flat on their face sometimes. You just have to dust yourself off and work your way back up again. Which is hard to do when you’ve hit rock bottom. But, if you do, you’re stronger for it.
Money is the root of all evil, yet we need it to survive. While debating if going into work is the right choice or not, remember that without money you won’t get close to your goals. Which is why I work while I’m sick, because that paycheck is a means to an end for me.
Don’t forget to enjoy the little things. Feelings that become distant memories that you look back on down the road. These could very well be the “good old days.”
Everyone is suffering their own inner demons. Just because someone rubs off on you the wrong way, doesn’t mean they intentionally meant to be rude to you. There’s a chance they’re suffering their own troubles, and no, it’s not fair to take it out on you, but sometimes you have to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. And to not let it get to you or bring you down.
And, if someone is just downright rude to you, instead of being rude back, just use it as a reminder of the person you never want to become.
It’s okay to be weird, because being downright normal is overrated.
Be who you are, not who people expect you to be. The truth always comes out in the end.
There are a lot more I could add to this list, but I think I’ll leave it here.
What are some things that you like to remind yourself of?
