It’s bizarre to think that not only are we nearing the end of 2017, but we’re nearing the end of my fifth month of blogging. I’ve come a long way, haven’t I? I never thought I’d of made it this far. Time has just been flying by, and now that the holidays are about to end, I think I can finally get myself back in the groove of writing again. I’ve felt so off the last few weeks with rushing around to get ready for Christmas.
Earlier this month, I had my monthly goals posts (here and here). I stumbled a bit this month, and didn’t get as much done as I originally intended. I missed a post, and then stopped my Daily B&W photos. This is an idea I may come back to, I really want to give myself an actual photography challenge, I just feel lacking in inspiration. I want to take good photos, and while some of mine actually turned out okay, it started to get repetitive. And there’s only so much I can share of my daily life before it gets boring. So it’s an idea I’m going to play around with, and come back to. For now, no more daily photos unless something interesting is going on!
For January, I have more of the same expectation as previous months: daily topics and I’m keeping journal entries on Wednesdays and Sundays. I actually like writing entries at least twice a week, it keeps me able to talk about what’s going on in my own life, without being too repetitive. I mean, I do talk about the same shit all the time, but at least a few days gives there time for other things to happen.
With January, I wanted to give more into topics I’ve written about before, and have a few stories in the mix. I’m not sure yet how this is going to turn out, but I do have high hopes to get myself back into focusing on writing. With the holidays over, and Ray going back into the new semester, I’m going to need something to get through the winter. I’m making goals, I just hope they can happen. I’m still working on my New Year’s Resolutions.
I didn’t feel creative much this month, so I lacked really writing scrawls like I did in November. I’m hoping to give myself a chance to come back with this again, too. We’ll see how January turns out.
What are some of your writing goals for next month?
