There’s a lot of things I’ve never done that most people seem to have. I’ve never been on vacation, never been sledding, never broken a bone (despite how klutzy I am), never really traveled, never moved out or been on my own. The big one for me though, I think, is that I’ve never seen the ocean. Whenever I tell people this they’re always shocked. I guess most people eventually do because their families take them on vacation, or they go with friends. I never got the opportunity to.
I could make this post about how I feel I’ve never really gotten to do much, but at the same time, I’ve already been writing about that in previous posts. So instead, it’s a goal. It’s something I would like to change over the next year or so. I want to work towards doing these things one step at a time – if I’ve never done it, I want to try it. Or talk myself into trying it if it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
The more I think about it, I am only 24, and no, I haven’t done a lot of things everyone else has, but that just means I still have a first time to look forward to. I’m still young, I’ve got time. I know life is short, and I feel like I’ve been stuck for a very long time, but things are going to change eventually. And I want to make everything happen that I can.
