So if you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you know that I went away this weekend (for the first time in two months I’ll add) with the guy I’m seeing, Ray. I spent so much time looking forward to this weekend, and it ended so quickly. What a ripoff! But it was a lot of fun, and I’m so happy I got to spend this weekend with him. There’s less of a gap this time before I get to see him again, so that makes me happy.
Let me back up and go over some of the highlights of this weekend:
I worked 10am – 2pm. I originally requested the day off, but since we were short staffed with the other cashiers also requesting this weekend off, I volunteered to come in and help out a little before leaving. Plus, it was payday, so I needed to get my check anyways, and I couldn’t cash it before 2pm. Then Ray also had class until 2:30ish and couldn’t leave until closer to 4pm. It’s an hour to two hour drive depending on traffic. Traffic was bad that day.
The day started with Oscar being mad for me that they seemed like they were giving me issues about me wanting to serve next door. It was frustrating to me because they had lost a couple of servers next door, and the lady in charge of hiring was going to come and recruit me, and my managers didn’t like that idea. Alex even said something along the lines that if I try to work over there, I’m out of both jobs. And I figured he was probably fucking with me, but it still pissed me off.
Anyways, Oscar was mad because he thought they were holding me back from bettering myself, and all I wanted was a few nights extra of serving next door. So he spoke with my one manager, who later told Alex, and Alex comes up to me and he’s like, “do you really think I would fire you over something like that? Pretty sure that’s illegal.” And he was just kind of joking around. Made me feel so much better though. I didn’t think he would’ve fired me, but I really did get the impression they were going to hold me back.
So now I’m not entirely sure what’s going to happen, but they said they’d work with me to try to get me serving a few days if that’s what I really want to do. There’s just an issue that since it’s the same place, they may have to pay me time and a half if I go over 40 hours, and if they do that, it’d be with my higher pay as a cashier, not a server, and then there may be an issue of my taxes being higher, too. So we’ll see if I can get that worked out.
Speeding up to later on in the day, I made it through work, cashed my check, got home, and literally spent an hour packing. Which turned out fine because Ray didn’t show up until around 6pm, because of traffic. He thought it wouldn’t have been so bad around the time he left, but it still was. I was so happy to finally see him though. His hair had grown out quite a bit in the almost two months since I’ve seen him.
The drive back wasn’t bad until we got closer to the city, and once we hit the city, that was it basically – traffic was bad. I know it was Friday night, but it just seemed crazy that traffic would still be that bad at 7:30pm, but who knows?
Ray actually was making a joke the next day that everyone was driving up to get their girlfriend so that’s why it was so bad. I didn’t say anything, but I think he called me his girlfriend by saying that, and it made me so happy. We never really talked about it, but he acts like my boyfriend. And then he made that comment, and it would’ve been the best time to bring it up, but I didn’t. I didn’t know how to get my words moving, and I just let it go. Soon, I’ll have to soon.
Once we got back to his apartment that night, he scrambled around to get himself ready for his meeting at his frat (did I mention he was in this academic frat? They’re literally all like pharmacy guys lol). So he was rushing to throw on his costume and leave. He actually rushed out the door without even giving me a kiss, and it took me back for a minute but I knew I was being silly, and he was just in a rush.
So after he left, I started getting ready with my Poison Ivy costume, and that took me a good hour to even get it on and my make up ready and all that fun stuff. It was time consuming. Plus the costume has a corset for the top, so it was a bit of a bitch tying that up myself, but I did it! By the time he got back from his meeting, I had just finished with the final touches, so when I heard him walking up the steps to me, I got all excited because I thought I did good with the costume. He even told me I looked just like Poison Ivy, and he also kissed me, and said he forgot to do that. So see – silly thoughts are just… silly.
Before we left, we met up with his one roommate, who was also going to the party with his girlfriend, and we took their picture, which also prompted us to get our picture taken, too. I would share that photo, but I think I’ll hold off on posting his photo until he says it’s okay for me to share his picture on my blog, lol. Instead, I’ll probably share it on Instagram. We did look good together, we were both green (he dressed up as the Riddler from Batman).
The party itself turned out to be fun. There were a lot of costumes, and I didn’t know anyone at all, but I stuck by Ray and he found some people to talk to. We both wound up drinking jungle juice. This was probably the first party I’ve been to in two years. The juice didn’t taste bad actually, and that was probably an issue because there was definitely a ton of alcohol in it. I only had two cups, and we wound up leaving sometime around midnight because we were both so drunk.
I did get a lot of compliments on my costume though! And it may have actually been the last decent night weather wise, so overall, it was a good night. Ray and I got back to his apartment, and I went to get out of my costume and get ready for bed. I was so drunk I was stumbling. I managed to take my contacts out, but I remember I was trying to go back downstairs to brush my teeth, and he like tried to pick me up or something, and we both fell backwards on the floor. The next morning I woke up with this rectangle imprint on my leg and both that and my arm were bruising up. So I must’ve fell hard. This is what happens when you drink, kids.
I’m already at over 1,000 words, so I’ll speed this post up a bit.
Saturday was nice. We were both a little hungover, but I brought Ibuprofen and that helped tremendously with the headache. He made us breakfast and coffee, and had a hair appointment at noon to chop his hair off – he wanted to have a haircut exactly like Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks.
So I spent that time away just watching his roommate play Mario Odyssey on the Switch, and got my shower to get ready for us to run errands. He came back in an hourish, and I thought I loved his hair all fluffy and long, but he really rocks the short hair. Like, he looked great. I was impressed. He looked so different, but he looks great with both hairstyles.
After he got back, we all hung out and played some Mario Kart. We left soon after to run some errands and pick up groceries and stuff for his party that night. Chocolate and snacks and markers and the like. He already had some stuff to make decorations. We stopped at Wendy’s before heading back.
When we got back, he went to get a shower and I just hung out downstairs and read some blog posts (I did manage to read some this weekend!). After he showered, he got himself ready with his costume (not really costume, more like just a suit lol). He really sports the professional look now, he no longer looks like a mad scientist.
We worked on some decorations, including some orange and black chains to hang up. Ray making cutouts of bats and purple ghosts, he was so impressed with his own “spooky” decorations. It was great. I loved his enthusiasm the entire time. He dressed as Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks, and his roommate dressed as Mr. C. They both rocked the looks.
I had my Twin Peaks dress that I through on, did my makeup and curled my hair very briefly. I wanted to look nice and fit the theme. We kind of all just played beer pong to warm up, and they had Iron City and I.C. Light tallboy cans for the party (apparently it was only $10 for a case and that’s dirt cheap). People didn’t start showing up until around 10pm.
Overall, it was a lot of fun. Everyone made jokes at Ray for his new clean look. We played beer pong and Super Smash Bros Melee and Mario Kart, and just drank and hung out. It was a good time. Ray and I didn’t get nearly as drunk that night either.
It started off a little lazy. We laid in bed until close to noon, and then he grabbed his shower, and I grabbed mine. By the time we left, it was close to 2pm. We went out for lunch (a.k.a we ordered breakfast that late). The place we went to was really busy, so it took at least a half hour for our food. But it was yummy. I got a bacon and cheese omelette and he got a chili cheese omelette. He also ordered these smores pancakes that was also more like dessert than anything.
After we ate, we met up with his brother and sister at this one bar. It was nice to finally meet them, because he talks about them a lot. And they were very friendly with me, he’s definitely talked about me a few times to them lol.
It was nice though, we both had one drink, hung out for about an hour or so, and then we left so he could drive me home. Which was awful. I didn’t want to go home. It ended way too quickly. And I think I was a little disappointed we didn’t have time to just be lazy with each other all day. It was an on the go the whole weekend, which was a lot of fun, but it made the time fly by so fast.
By the time he pulled up my road, my stomach dropped. I didn’t want to be home at all. It was cold outside, I wanted to stay in the car. But we kissed goodbye, I gave him his hoody back (I wore it all day), and grabbed my things and went inside.
And now that I’m home… I’m counting down the days until I get to see him again. I may be slightly crazy for this boy, and it’s just insane to me that he’s the real thing. This weekend felt like a dream. And now I’m awake and back to reality.
This post is already long winded, so I’m going to wrap it up here. Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll go more into my feelings in another post. It’s bound to happen. I have a post to write later as well, as if you hadn’t already gotten enough of me.
I’ll be catching up with all of your blog posts within the next few days, so thanks for bearing with me guys.
Love you all!
