October is coming to a wrap already, how crazy is it that we’re so close to the end of the year? It seems like it just started, didn’t it? 2018, hold up. Crazy enough, I’m sort of stoked for the holidays this year, so bring it on November. You can keep the cold away, though. The last two months I’ve kept up with this theme of the highs and lows of the month.
I also had a personal goal list here.
So what are some highs and lows of the month?
-I was able to save some money.
-I survived Homecoming weekend.
-I got my State ID renewed
-Went to the eye doctor’s and got new contacts. Goodbye 9 month use contacts (don’t do that. It’s awful).
-I spent the weekend before Halloween with Ray, and it was a fun and eventful weekend.
-I got to dress up.
-I may be able to start serving soon.
-I updated my resume.
-I applied for more jobs at the same bank.
-I’m still working until 6pm or 7pm on days I work, making it hard to motivate to do much else after work. Especially with it getting dark out fast.
-Homecoming weekend was this month.
-I only got to see Ray once this month.
-I still have not gotten my license, permit, or gone driving.
-I made a goal to read a book on Wattpad and review it. I did read a book, however, it was one I already read and reviewed on Wattdpad itself. Whoops.
-I helped my mom get some organization started, but nowhere near ready for the holidays yet.
-I applied to about 10 jobs at the bank, none of them called me back.
– I gave up on my photography challenge.
October wasn’t a terrible month. I did actually manage to accomplish quite a few goals overall. But I did lose a few things that I wanted to do, such as the photography challenge. So I’m disappointed in how that turned out. I’m finding it’s rather difficult to maintain personal goals and work 40 hours a week. Not to mention my mother being up my ass on my days off, rendering it hard to even accomplish the things that I would like to do.
I’m hoping that we can get the house organized soon, my mom is finding motivation and it’d be nice to get this crap out of the downstairs area. She mentioned inviting Ray over for the holidays, and that’d be really nice. The house is just a mess right now, still.
Being able to dress up for Halloween for once was fun, and it definitely was the highlight of my month just spending it with Ray. Halloween is technically tomorrow, but I’m already over the month. I dressed up and had my fun already. I’d rather spend tomorrow binging horror movies, but instead I’m stuck at work from 10:30am to 7:00pm. I hate my life (lol).
I was told by a few people that they’re pretty sure I don’t need my birth certificate if I have my State ID when I go to renew my permit. So I’m hoping that’s a factor, and I want to make a plan to go for my permit test once more. Chances of me getting much driving during winter is still possible. Have I mentioned how much this weather sucks yet?
It’s funny, for every dollar I save, I know it’s just going to go towards the holidays. And Ray’s birthday is coming up in a couple weeks as well. I’m thinking since he went simple for me (he bought me K-Cups and then we just spent the weekend together), I might buy him some beer to try out. Simple, and I’d be picking out stuff I’d think he’d be up for trying. That’d let me focus more on finding him something really nice for Christmas. Guys…. I’ve never bought a guy a Christmas gift. Or a birthday gift. This is big for me. We’ve crossed 5 months already. We’ll see how this goes.
So long October!
