September is quickly coming to an end, and that means that I’ve made it through another month of blogging everyday. How crazy is that? It’s been almost two months since I brought this blog back from the dead. I’m so thankful to all the people who have started following me, and who continue to keep up with my posts and who write me comments. You guys help inspire me to keep on writing!
So what are some highs and lows of the month?
-I saw a good friend of mine get married, and attended the ceremony with Ray.
-Ray and I booked our first hotel room together, and the first time I ever booked a hotel room, period.
-I went out recently with some good friends who I haven’t seen in a few months.
-I finally got my physical (today actually).
-I applied to a new job.
-I tested out my camera.
-Work has been giving me over 40 hours a week, making it hard to accomplish much else.
-Work has been exhausting.
-Ray has been busy with school being back, and I won’t get to see him until next month.
-I made a goal to write creative posts weekly, and I lost motivation for it.
-I made a goal to finish reading Game of Thrones this month, and also lacked motivation to read it.
-I wanted to go for my permit test, and realized my birth certificate is M.I.A and somewhere in my mother’s room. Ordering one online is $90, so until I find it, I’m not getting my permit.
-The job I applied for has yet to call me back.
Overall, while there’s still a few days left of September, this month is mostly over for me. I work the rest of the week, and won’t have time for much else. September was a bit of a disappointment because I didn’t get to accomplish that much. I made goals and failed to keep up with them as well.
I’m hoping that next month will be a little better. If anything, I should be able to see Ray a couple times, hopefully. We have a weekend plan for right before Halloween, but unfortunately that’s at the end of the month. Homecoming may wreck my other chance at getting to see him, too. Fingers crossed they don’t work me all weekend. I hate college weekends.
Halloween is the only thing I’m looking forward to next month, and I still have to get a costume prepared. What are some good couple costumes that can also stand solo? And are affordable.
I’m disappointed that I don’t know where my birth certificate is. I don’t believe that they would let me still apply for my permit with only my State ID and social security card. The requirements say I need it or a passport (don’t have). I feel they’d be strict on it. But at the same time, I had to have my birth certificate to get my ID, so, who knows? My State ID expires at the end of next month, so I have no idea what to do right now. I don’t want to pay $70 for two ID’s (if I get my Driver’s License).
Lastly, some updates:
Recently I’ve been inspired to start making my own featured images and to add a signature. I’ve been playing around with it, and I probably will have a few different styles for quite awhile until something clicks.
The last thing I did, was add a few more things to my sidebar, and updated my header. I love modifying my blog, and eventually I hope to make it even better.
I think I’m going to attempt to start reading stories on Wattpad again. What you may not know about me, is that a few years ago I used to read and review stories for fun. And there are so many good authors out there who aren’t as known because they’re not published. Wattpad was an inspiration for me, and I’d like to rediscover it again. I haven’t been in the mood to read, even Game of Thrones hasn’t been holding my attention, unfortunately. So we will see!
Do you like what I’ve been doing lately? Let me know what you think!
I’ll be posting a Goals for October post shortly as well!
