Things that go bump in the dark. Creepy crawlers. Clowns. Yet for some reason, I still want to see It.
I’m scared of being in the dark. By myself, no lights.
I’m scared of being alone, forever, no one truly ever there.
I’m scared of not reaching my goals in life. To always be stuck in this town I’m growing sick of more and more everyday.
I’m scared of never being able to travel. Money is always tight.
I’m scared of always struggling. And then having kids and watching them struggle.
I’m scared of not waking up. I’m scared of waking up.
I’m scared of falling.
I’m scared of war. The world destroying itself.
I’m scared of being stuck in meaningless jobs.
I’m scared of having a dysfunctional family like the one I grew up with.
I’m scared of the fact that anything can happen, life can change in a moment.
I’m scared of scrolling through someone’s Facebook or Instagram and liking a photo from years ago.
I’m scared of cruel people. People who mean harm.
I’m scared of fire. Natural disasters.
I’m scared of being hurt every time I let myself fall for someone.
I’m scared of dying too young. I’m scared of dying too old.
I’m scared of the unknown.
I’m scared of a lot of things. I could make an even longer list. We’re all scared of so many things underneath the surface. If we lived based on our fears, we would never leave the house. But at the same time, isolation is also a fear, and that wouldn’t solve anything.
The world is a scary place. We just have to take it one day at a time and try to avoid those fears. If you’re afraid of something, do something to prevent it from happening. If you can’t, then learn to accept it and work with what’s happening. It’s not always that easy though.
