Generously Nominated for Blogger Awards!

It’s taken me a few days to finally get around to writing this post, but I wanted to throw a shout-out to Hunida for nominating me for these awards (here). Much love and appreciation! If you haven’t already seen her blog, you should check it out! She’s working on another monthly challenge (like myself) and posts everyday. She’s also very sweet and encouraging, so give her a view!

There are three Blogger awards she has nominated me for, and to show my appreciation, I’m going to do all of them. The first one is the Unique Blogger Award.

The Rules:

  • Kindly thank the person who nominated you!
  • Answer the 3 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 8-13 bloggers for this award!
  • Ask the people you nominated 3 questions.

The second one is the Versatile Blogger Award.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you!
  • Share 7 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers of your choice.
  • Link your nominees and let them know you nominated them!

The final one is the One Lovely Blog Award.

The Rules:

  • As always, thank the person who nominated you!!
  • Share 7 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 15 bloggers and inform them of the nominations.

The three questions I have to answer for the Unique Blogger Award:
1.) If you could live one week in someone else’s shoes, who would you choose?

If I could live one week in someone else’s shoes, I’m honestly not sure who I would choose. I always was terrible at these sorts of questions. I would like to choose someone who has a completely different lifestyle than myself. To see what it’s like on the other side of the fence. Is it better than my own life? Would it show me what I need to do to better myself? What would it be like to be rich and have no worries with money? I don’t have someone specific I’d like to choose, though.

2.) Do you brush your teeth in the shower, or do you think that’s extremely weird?

I do think it’s weird to brush your teeth in the shower. I think it’s weird when people pee in the shower, too. Most likely because it’s just something I never would do. There’s a sink to brush my teeth at, why would I do it in the shower? I guess that’s a thing for some people.

3.) Describe your handwriting. Is it big or small? Do you write in cursive, print, or a mix of both? Do you write in all caps or no caps?

My handwriting is on the smaller side I would say. I don’t like writing big. I mainly write in print, but sometimes I mix cursive in with it. And I neither write in all or no caps, I try to write in proper format.

14 facts about myself for the other two awards:

  • I’ve never been to a live sporting event (football, basketball, baseball, etc.). Not for school or anything. I feel like I missed out in both college and high school by never at least attending a football game, but it is what it is.
  • In the fifth grade I discovered Harry Potter and read the first four books (what was out at the time) all within one week. When the fifth book came out, I read them all again. And repeated it for the sixth and seventh book. I wasn’t obsessed at all or anything.
  • My second grade teacher hated me for some odd reason. I remember one day my mom had given me Benadryl because I had an allergic reaction to eating too much chocolate (I used to be allergic if I had too much), and I was tired in class. She told me I needed to go to bed earlier. Another case was when she called my mom and left her a voicemail saying I had ADD and needed to be put on Ritalin. She’s a teacher, not a doctor.
  • I’ve never really been outside of Pennsylvania. I had a brief two week trip in the middle of nowhere Illinois (literally, the town was super small and nothing to do), and a week trip to New Jersey where we didn’t really go too far.
  • I’ve never seen the ocean. Even when I was in New Jersey, it was too cold when we went.
  • I love listening to movie soundtracks and instrumentals when I’m writing or reading. No lyrics help me relax and also keep in focus of writing or reading.
  • My favorite author is Kelley Armstrong. I started reading her Women of the Otherworld series back in high school and I became obsessed. While I haven’t read all of her newer books, she’s still who I’d list as my favorite author.
  • I will watch and read anything with a good premise. Genre isn’t a factor, it’s how it’s told. However, I am partial to a good psychological thriller, and anything that gets me thinking good and hard.
  • I lost my virginity when I was 20. I lost my first kiss the same night.
  • I went to college for graphic design, and found a love for photography and video along the way.
  • My favorite animal has always been a wolf, but my second favorite is a fox.
  • I never wore makeup in middle school or high school – my mom forbade it. So when I turned 18 I had no idea how to do my makeup, and now that I have that freedom to wear it, it’s still a struggle for me. I stick to the basics – basic eyeliner and mascara and maybe a dab of lipstick. Only try eyeshadows and winged liner when I have a reason to try to dress up.
  • The last movie I saw in theaters was La La Land. I actually really liked it.
  • In high school my best friend convinced me to join the Science Olympiad team with her. She’s good at science, I am not. The year I joined our team made it to Nationals (I think? I don’t remember) so we got to have a field trip to a nicer college. I didn’t have much to contribute at all for the team – I legit had no idea what I was doing, I only joined for my friend. But it was a fun time nonetheless.

My three questions for my nominees (if you choose to do the Unique Blogger Award):

  1. If you could live in any time era, what would it be? Future? Past? A specific decade? Ancient history?
  2. Do you believe in life after death?
  3. Are we alone in the universe? What are your reasons?

I definitely don’t have enough nominees for this post. While I’ve been working on following more people, there are only a handful I can really nominate for these awards right now. I would love to nominate Hunida again, but as she nominated me, I can’t do that. Here are my nominees:

The other blogs down below I don’t feel qualify in the same sense for nominating, however I do recommend checking them out! Poetry, fiction, art, lifestyle, and other.

If I nominated you, don’t feel obligated to do all of these awards – it’s up to you! I was given the choice, and I’m offering it to you as well. I decided to do all three because it was a bit of a challenge on top of my usual writing challenges. If anything, this was a way to give a shout=out to everyone I tagged in this post, and I hope you enjoyed reading.

Thank you again for the nomination! I’m still discovering new blogs so I feel bad for the lack of nominees.

  1. lol I actually brush my teeth in the shower… hehe. Before I met my boyfriend he thought it was weird too but now he brushes his in the shower too. 😂

I can’t believe you’ve never been to a live sporting event…even during high school?! Though I can’t say you’re missing out on much! lol I’ve found ’em all to be rather boring. 😛

I laughed out loud when I read “she’s a teacher, not a doctor” 😂😂 I agree though. Who is she to say if a child had ADD or not! I’m not so good with make-up either (especially the damn winged eyeliner) lol. No matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch– I just can’t do ’em. 😩

I rented La La Land from RedBox and it couldn’t seem to grab my attention for some reason! Surprised but glad to hear you enjoyed it since I’ve heard not too many good reviews about it! I can’t even remember what the last movie I saw in theaters was…

Anyways thanks for the shout out and doing this reply post!! I enjoyed reading your answers! I’ll def make sure to check out all the blogs you listed

    1. Haha how’d you get started on brushing your teeth in the shower?

And I know! I feel like I missed out on a crucial school moment lol. But I’m not big into sports so I might’ve been bored, too. Everyone says live games are better though.

And my mom would always say that haha. But she’s not a professional to diagnose me with that lol. And ohh yeah I struggle with winged eyeliner. I’ve gotten the basic part sort of down, but I suck at making my eyes even. I just kind of give up and say “close enough” after awhile lol. And I have the same struggle! They make it look so easy.

And I can see how someone would get bored watching it! I dunno, maybe it was how cinematic it looked on the big screen in the theater – I liked it lol. And a lot of people didn’t like the ending, but I did lol. I hardly ever watch movies in theaters – like once maybe twice a year.

And you’re welcome!! Thank you for nominating me 😊 and awesome!

      1. Lol, it must have been something my parents taught me because I’ve been brushing my teeth in the shower for as long as I can remember. 😂

In High School, the football games were only fun because of the social aspect of it and pro sporting events are such a draaaaag lol.

lol I can NOT get those wings without a piece of tape on my face and they are NEVER even lol I just don’t wear eyeliner at all anymore. 😂

And same here!! I can’t bring myself to watch a $15 movie… when I can wait to watch it on redbox for $1.50. 😛

      2. Haha that’s funny! 😂 I’ve never even heard of it before that question.

And true! That’s a good point haha. It really is all about the social life.

Haha I tried the tape thing before but it never worked well for me because the liner would get under the tape 😂 so I freehand it lol. I only do it once in a while!

And exactly! Haha it’s ridiculous. I usually just wait to Redbox it if I really want to see it, or wait until it’s on Netflix if I’m cool with waiting lol.

      3. Hahaha my whole family brushes their teeth in the shower, so I guess I have a weird family. But I kinda already knew that. 😆

But also the food is good at pro sports event, def a li’l spendy though!

Haha yeah that happened for me when I used the tape too and I’d have to re-apply it so much there became a dry spot in the shape of the tape on my cheek. I totally give up on all that contouring, wings, and extra artsy makeup trends. 😭

Movie theatre prices really are so ridiculous now a days, when I was younger on the weekdays it would be like $5-$7 per ticket. But I kind of really wanna see the new It movie that just came out!

      4. Hahaha that’s funny 😂😂

And I have heard that! But yeah I’m sure the prices are outrageous.

Yepp sounds a lot like my issues lol. And then I’d try to use the tape with eye shadow, too, and that was just terrible because I’d somehow get eye shadow down my face or across the tape and it wouldn’t come off right 😂 and ohh yeah I’ve never tried contouring because that’s just too much time 😂 I barely can do a simple wing much less that. I’ll stick with the basics, I like the natural looks better anyways lol. So does my wallet.

They are! And they charge extra if it’s in 3D. Anywhere from $10-$15 up here. Although at my local theater they do have $5 movie Mondays which I need to try to do more often lol. I really want to see It, too! It might be the one last movie I try to see this year.

      5. Yeah I don’t wear that much makeup at all, everyone always think I’m not wearing any! But I spend at least 30 min on it before work! Lol.

Ugh I hate 3D movies. I’ve never been to one with my contacts in and those glasses over my glasses is just horrible. And way over-priced. I’d rather watch the movie normally. 😛 $5 movie Monday’s sounds awesome! People have been saying that this year no one really went to the movie theatres at all until now that It has came out.

      6. Haha really? I spend maybe 5 minutes on makeup most the time. A little eyeliner, mascara and a dab of lipstick 😂 foundation if I’m going somewhere other than work.

And ohh yeah I’ve always had contacts in but the glasses over glasses thing sounds even worse. And so would I! I wish they’d give you those options lol. And right? And I believe it! There haven’t really been any movies that even sound worth seeing. And movies come out on DVD within a couple months now, so what’s the rush? I remember as a kid DVDs would take like 6 months or more to come out!

      7. I wear zero makeup other than for work. I don’t know why it takes me 30 min to do concealer, eyeshadow, mascara, foundation, and highlighter. lol I’m sure other girls could do it much quicker! 😆

3D movies are dumb but at Universal Studios I luckily wore my contacts and the 3D rides were absolutely amazing! Movies are so pointless when they’re 3D compared to those rides! And yeeeah, I remember, it did used to take extra long for movies to go out in DVD. Now you can find it on RedBox just weeks after it leaves theatres.

      8. That’s a good way to be though! It can be so much work haha. And maybe because you’re just particular about how you do it haha. I run mascara over my top waterline, throw a bit of mascara on, and a dab of lipstick and I’m out the door lol.

Ooh yeah I’ve never been there but that sounds awesome! At least that way it’s interactive and it makes sense. And yes! That’s one of the main reasons I don’t care if I see a movie in theaters haha
