I’m a summer baby, and I love the summer. However, the fall time would be my second favorite season. Here are five reasons why:
1.) The Leaves Change Color
I can already tell Fall is approaching just by the changing color of the leaves. They’re already starting to fall. But for the first intro into Fall, it’s really a sight just to watch all the leaves turn to reds and oranges and yellows. It really brings nature to life.
It may have been years since I’ve actually gone trick-or-treating. It may have been a few years since I’ve even dressed up and gone partying for it. But I still love the holiday. The costumes people create, the chance to dress up and have fun being someone else. But mostly, I love all the horror movies that start playing. Everything gets darker and creepier and I love it. It’s an excuse to have a horror movie marathon. Or a Tim Burton one.
3.) Fall Clothes
I love shorts, tanks and summer dresses, but there’s something about fall outfits I just love. It’s not cold enough that you need a heavy jacket yet, but it’s cool enough that a sweater will do you just fine. Scarves and hats are popular, and it’s back to wearing leggings all the time.
4.) Pumpkin Spice and Pumpkin Ale/Shandy
Okay, I’m a little basic. When we got a case of Harvest Patch Shandy a few weeks ago, I bought a 6-pack already. It legit tastes just like pumpkin spice and everything Fall. I never used to like it, but it grew on me. And now that it’s September, I might start mixing some pumpkin spice into my coffee in the mornings.
5.) It’s Not Quite Hot, Not Quite Cold
I like Fall because it’s still warm out, for about half the season anyways. The nights get cooler, until eventually the days turn cold as well. But cold nights just mean a chance to have a bonfire and warm up!
I’m a little excited about Fall. I really want to go out for Halloween this year. And I’m excited to actually have someone this year for this time of year. I don’t want to think about Winter or the holidays just yet, but the next two months? I’m ready! However, they can shove the shenanigans that Homecoming brings. I really am dreading working a big weekend again, and that’ll be towards the beginning of October. I’m just hoping that the weather isn’t going to turn bad too fast this year. Summer is already cooling down fast, and I don’t like the feel of that.
